UW-Madison VS. Indiana-Kelley (Business)

I have been admitted directly into the business schools at both UW-Madison (SOB) and Indiana University (Kelley)!

The cost of these schools are the exact same for me, so PRICE is NOT a factor.

Here are my pros and cons of both:

UW-Madison; Pros: Better Overall School, Great Team Spirit. Cons: In-State (I want a sense of change), Brutal Winter.

Indiana U: Pros: Top 10 Ranked Business School, Out of State, Minor sense of change, slightly better weather. Cons: Lacks overall quality that UW-M offers (this concerns me most), Worse sports teams.

Please share with me what your choice would
be and why! How do their business schools compare? How much better really is Kelley?

If it matters, I am a “scholar” at IU on top of being a direct admit. Apparently there are some benefits to this, though I do not know all.

Thank you!

Hey congratulations! I think your decision ultimately comes down to how set you are on business. If you are pretty confident that you’re going down the B-School route and are ok with some change then I’d recommend IU. I’ve really enjoyed the challenge of Kelley so far, and the students/faculty have been stellar. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions about Indiana!
