I have recently been accepted to both UW and UCSB and I am having a bit of a problem deciding where I will be attending during the fall. Both are tied at 45th nationally and 12th in public schools. I have not yet decided what I would be studying but I would like to keep my options open by taking a wide range of classes such as pre-med, pre-law and so on. I know UW is known for its research in medical, but then again I'm not sure if that's what I'll be studying. I have been to UW and the campus is very pleasant as well as the campus at UCSB. I was wondering where I should go. Help?

ucsb so my friends who got waitlisted at uw will have a better chance

Pros: Mostly Caucasian.

????? What is that suppose to mean? There is a large Asian student body at UW.

"Beautiful women"

I'm not sure about UCSB, but women at UW are beautiful. And baboking, even though about 20 % of students here are asians, but the majority are still caucasians.

Well dunh of course I know that I went to UW. The thing is the post says one of the "pros" of UW is that it's mostly Caucasian. Now to someone else reading it, it seems to imply that they have a dislike for schools with significant minority students. Or they misspoke. I hope it's the latter.

Sorry guys!! I didn't list that as a pro to imply a dislike for minorities at all! Most of my school friends from high school are actually asian, and I have absolutely no problems with minorities. The only reason I listed that as a pro is because I'm caucasian, and I'm mostly attracted to caucasian women, so having lots of them seems cool.

To say the least, situation reversed, if the population break-down was 20% caucasian and 70% asian, it most certainly would not go down as a "con". Sorry for the mixup guys, not at all intended that way.

I thought you misspoke there. LOL. It's cool. :)

girls at ucsb are bombbbbb.

UCSB is a bit more diverse than you'd think.

My sister (Salvadoran) spent her last year dorming with a Chinese, Brazilian, Israeli, Iranian, and an Egyptian. There was an Argentine but she was crazy and they forced her to move out, replaced by an equally crazy Jewish sophomore who ended up getting kicked out of school at the end of the semester.

Although there are a lot of blonde prep-types, if UCSB had a majority it would be hands down Jewish. And never once saw a black person on campus...

Oh, and as it's been said before, UCSB is loaded with hot girls. My sister never once had an ugly roommate. Even the crazys were hot.
