Can anyone give me opinions?
University of Washington business v. University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign business?
I am looking into accounting, but I am instate at UW so
tuition difference is huge. UW is almost free and UIUC is around $30k for me.

AFAIK, UW is a very well-known school for business. I don’t see why you’d want to go out of state, especially with that $30,000 price tag.

Plus the new building (Paccar Hall) is being completed this year. I think it’s safe to say the UW Business is thriving.

This is coming from a h.s. senior planning on tossing ~50k for Tepper next year, so take my words with a grain of salt =p

Depends on what you want to do, but both schools have strong accounting programs. If you’re into accounting, Foster would be the better choice just for costs. If you’re looking to stay in the area, UW is a no brainer. But keep in mind that if you’re going for a prestigious I-banking career you need every advantage in both program strength and name recognition, which I don’t believe Foster can provide.

UIUC seems to have the edge over Foster in consulting/financing though. If you can stomach the cost for the program, the opportunities opened by the overall better program will help pay off the debt in the long run.
