How is the physics program offered at UW?

This is kind of a broad question. What would you like to know about specifically? Intro series 114/5/6, 121/2/3, the major, the advisors…?

I haven’t had experience with the physics department so far, but perhaps others can help by answering more specific questions. =)

Hmm alright, I’d like to know about the lectures, the professors, and the advisors.

can someone mention how competitive/difficult the physics program is? also the quality of lectures and the program in general.

nt sure abt the quality of the lectures and program but you just have to get at least 2.0/2.5 in all prerequisites to get into the program

physics w/ calc: it can go either way. a lot of people think it’s ridiculously hard. however, if you get it, it’s a huge plus because there is a helpful curve.
it’s a lot of work… and it is a weeder class (ie: it weeds out people from competitive majors)
look into professors on ratemyprofessor or something, because classes vary
