UW-Seattle Activities Log?

<p>I'm having some trouble deciding what I my 5th activity should be on the activities log for the UW application. I know the essays are an extremely important part of the application and I'm pretty solid with the other two (my disease being my motivator and being multiracial), so I just need help with this!</p>

<p>1 - Volunteering at a camp for underprivileged kids
2 - Future Business Leaders of America (leadership position, awards, etc.)
3 - Internship at a government agency
4 - ALA Girls State Delegate</p>

<p>For the 5th one I can either write about my membership and service in National Honor Society (I don't hold a leadership position) or I can write about how my love for reading and writing has broadened my horizons. On the application they say that you can write about "personal endeavors that enrich the mind", but would that be considered one?</p>

<p>Also, if I were to write about that, what years would I check off?</p>

<p>Your ECs are solid; personally, I would go with the National Honor Society. Reading and writing is wonderful, but that activity is much harder to classify. You can say you were an NHS member for x years, whereas it is obvious that you have read/written your entire academic career.</p>
