UW!! stresses me everytime i think of my chances

lol sorry about this, i know u guys been having lots of threads like this but im kinda worried because i might have a weak shot at my top choice school (universtiy of washington-seattle)
-Im a senior with a 3.6 gpa (regretfully slacked off at school) with a high 50% class rank(about low 20sh)
-not a washington state resident..
-i took 5 APs in my high school carreer so far all are like 5s and 4s, Gov, US,Bio,Stats and psychology
-im a fist U.S generation, I've been living in the states for 5 years so far with no english background
I come from one of the poorest countries in the world (in africa) that is tormented by 2 civil wars right now
-ECs 2 years of track & field, 1 year of cross country, volunteering in Red Cross, EMS in fire-department, co-captain of a junior olympic team(TKD) and also participated in it as a black belt, i have been shadowing a doctor for 75 hours,20 hrs during surgeries and observed about 3 child births inside the operating room(just stood doing nothing for both lol)
-Clubs are NHS,latin and german
-i have a good feeling that my essay will be deep and unique cuzz its my experience of observing my dad in the operating room surgically removing a newborn from a dead mother, it changed the perspective of my future ever since

-i have just took my first SAT on oct and i dont have a good feeling about it cuzz i was ill prepared, im looking forward to the nov one

do u guys feel that i have a solid or even a moderate shot, if not what do u think i should improve to get that recommended status...thanks for your time

im not sure
i dont really know much about UW
but

ide say that having your grades
and how u r from a country in Africa that is in civil war
could mean alot to admissions

I can't tell you without your SAT score.

You need to write an effective essay on how tough it was growing up poor in Africa and how it taught you about being a better person, and you'll be in (unless you totally punt your SAT test). The UW is making a great big deal about holistic admissions, and they absolutely worship "cultural diversity." It's a Seattle thing. I'd say that you have a better than even shot, even with a mediocre SAT. Your grades are fine, at least according to the UW Website.
