UW Summer 2014 Transfer Thread

@Queenfelix34 I’m sure there are more batches coming out soon. Someone from the Autumn thread posted that her due date to pay the Enrollment Fee was on May 9th and that she felt that’s when the next batch would come out and May 9th was the day my unofficial transcript loaded and I got the letter 3 days later. In my welcome packet, my due date to pay the Enrollment Fee is May 23rd so I would be on the lookout around that time. If you look at older threads from 2012 and 2013, this seems to be the same pattern.

@Chamorro671‌ wow thank you this helps so much, ill be on the lookout!

Does anyone’s transcript not have the two X’s replaced on their birth year?

I think they may put this for everyone’s transcript that they review. I don’t think it offers any hint of admission.

Im sorry to burst anyone’s bubble, but I also have two x’s on my transcript where my birth year is. I don’t think its indicative of admission, as I’m going on my third quarter. That said, hang in there guys, I know the waiting game is hard, I did it twice. Good luck everyone!!

My unofficial transcript finally loaded!!! I have been waiting for this day my whole life!!!

@Queenfelix34 Congratulations! Would you mind posting your stats?

@Queenfelix34‌ , congratulations!
If you click on “registration” on the top left corner of your transcript, does it say “you are not eligible to register for this quarter”?

I just called UW admissions and talked to an advisor. She said that they are just starting to review summer applications and so we won’t hear back until June.

@Bronte104‌ are you sure about that? My friend got accepted in the first batch and applied for summer quarter. I’m pretty sure the third batch should be coming out tomorrow

@Queenfelix34‌ no one can be sure of anything until they have the acceptation/rejection letter in their hands. No one knows when these “batches” come out or where the school is in the review process.

For every prospective student that calls admissions, there is different/conflicting information that is given to them about timelines, current status of the review process, and “batches”

Unless some of these CC users are on the review committee themselves, everything should be taken with a large grain of salt. Part of the fun in this board is trying to solve the puzzle of estimating where they are with the review process, when letters will come out and early indicators of admittance. These are based on past and current applicant’s postings along with the contradictory tidbits of information extracted from the admissions personnel.

Just like derivatives trading and housing circa 2004, this board is purely speculative based on other’s speculations. Let us see it for what it is and nothing more.

Till that letter is in our hands,
good luck everyone!!!

PS: For those local to the Puget Sound area, there is plenty of sunshine these days to keep us distracted :)

@JSS0128‌ Lmao ok dude whatever you say… The guy who told me that the next batch would come out a few days before the 23rd was definitely right because I got my acceptance letter today… So you can tell me I’m wrong all you want haha

@potatomawnster sorry I didn’t want to post my stats until I got the letter, but

GPA: 3.39
106 credits
AA in Arts & Sciences
Nothing special, but I thought my essay was well-written which probably helped

Thank you for sharing valuable information! Guys watched pot never boils~!! this wait is exhausting for everyone… So let’s cross fingers for each other… Good luck everyone!!

@Queenfelix34‌ congrats! On your letter, when is your deadline to confirm your admission ? I am trying to figure out when the next batch will come

@Queenfelix34 Thanks for the info. I applied for autumn with pretty much the same stats as you. My GPA at the time of the application was 3.4 with 95 credits (115 by autumn) and an AA in Arts and Sciences. I also felt that I wrote a great—not perfect—essay along with it. Hopefully the next batch of autumn applicants will begin to get their results soon.

I got an acceptance letter in the mail today.

@Luciferase‌ Congrats on your admittance! Would u mind sharing ur stats?

Just received a rejection

@selloway dang… I’m sorry 2 hear that. I haven’t heard anything from general admissions office yet… But I’m not expecting a good new though… Man… u gonna try one more time?
