Summer 2016
Congratulations!!! It is for summer applicants right?
My application status updated over 2 weeks ago online and I still haven’t received the letter so I went into admissions on Friday and they told me they “just realized that a lot of the letters didn’t get sent”… so just a heads up to anyone still waiting for a letter!
@Grey007 where did you hear that this year is going to harder for transfer students? That’s scaring me.
I was told that by housing yesterday. Applications to the UW have been steadily increasing for several years, and the same is true for transfer students.

@Aharris1105 I’ve read on multiple sites that they’ve experienced an influx of transfer applications with the number of spots available remaining about the same. I’m so nervous waiting to hear back!
@Grey007 Could you possibly provide links?
It’s been a while since I’ve read them- like several months ago when we submitted our applications. Sorry I didn’t save any links @ginger5409
Summer 2016 acceptance rate for transfer students was about 40%. 500 applied, 217 accepted.
@pdwm56 Is that about in state student?
I am so shocked because the acceptance rate of in state student was about 65% for several years.
Only 40% ??
I am sorry, I was confused
65% is acceptance rate of freshman not transfer student
40% is normal
Summer Transfer acceptance rate was shared at orientation yesterday. 500 applied for summer, 217 were accepted. This number was not broken down by in or out of state two year college students, or four year in or out of state students or international students. The student who shared this is a WA resident who transferred at the end of freshman year from an out of state four year private university. (4.0 GPA, community service, active in 5 clubs & organizations)
