Yes, there is still a month left until the application opens (December 15, 2015).
I already began working on my personal essay.
I set up a "chart" below so you should copy it and fill it in with your personal stats! :)
I thought that it would be a great idea to edit each others personal statements, share experiences, and share advice!

Still unsure on my major. I was originally intending CS and have done very well on the programming classes, but my interest has waned for the field. I’m thinking of a Math or engineering major, but I’m fairly sure being undecided will hurt my transfer chances.

Have you ever applied to UW? (Term & Year): Yes, but for Bothell Campus for Freshman admissions.

Thanks for starting this! I feel like it’s so much harder to evaluate how you measure up as a transfer. @Readyandwaiting you said you’re rethinking-- but have you given any thought to how to strategize for putting the second choice to a competitive major? Like I don’t know if its better to just put what I want second most or to put something that’s a safer bet :/

Pre-req GPA: 3.86

HS GPA: 3.44

Have you ever applied to UW? (Term & Year): Nope

@decayedsyllables Are you asking about my thoughts on what majors I’m stating on my application? I’m probably going to list Math, Physics or electrical engineering. When I was considering CS, I thought of putting my intended major as something else just so it might be easier to be accepted as an undergrad. People say that majors don’t matter, but the admissions office is probably more likely to accept applicants who choose less popular or less competitive majors. I just wouldn’t list my intended major as Gender Studies when I’ve taken over 60 credits of Math and Physics courses.

HS GPA: No HS GPA

Have you ever applied to UW? No
Do you guys think I will get in to UW in summer?

You have a fairly solid of chance of being accepted.
I’m not sure how UW handles international (In-State CC) transfers, but I’m pretty sure you have the upper hand when going up against OOS 4-Year/CC transfers.
You have a decent GPA and a solid amount of credits.
As long as you have all your CADRs completed, and a solid essay, I’m almost positive that you’ll get in.

Current school: UW Bothell

In-state (Yes/No): Yes

Have you ever applied to UW? Yes I applied as a freshman for autumn 2014 and I was waitlisted so my parents made me go to uw bothell
I really want to study art (going to art school is too expensive sigh) and going to UW seattle is my best bet since uw bothell literally has like 3 art classes
I hope the fact that uw bothell doesn’t have my desired major will help me out

I have strong grades and work to show for architectural design but my ultimate goal is medical school. I’m worried that I will appear undecided about what I want to do even though I believe my personal statement described my intention of going about these two well. Do you guys think that applying for architectural design but also putting an emphasis on pre-med will hurt my chances?

@ashau99 The lower the number of credits you have, the larger the effect. However, the effect is minuscule, and will most likely not make or break your chances. Also, your status as an OOS applicant will not play in your favor. UW prioritizes its transfer openings for 2-Year/In-State transfers, which makes it more competitive for OOS/4-Year transfers. Saying this, it is not impossible. I have met a few OOS transfers during my Winter 2015 orientation here at UWS! Best of luck.
@Nitric It is possible, but VERY VERY DIFFICULT/RARE. UW recognizes each of its campuses as separate 4-Year institutions; therefore, you must provide a compelling reason for wanting to transfer between the campuses.
@UWchancemeh so basically i would have an extremely slim chance of getting in due to my amount of credits (53 by the end of spring quarter) and because i’m from another 4 year (uw bothell)??
Pre-reqs complete by the application deadline (Yes/No): Yes
Num. of credits by the application deadline: 90
Num. of credits by the time you enter UW: 90
ACT and/or SAT: N/A

Pre-req GPA: 3.97
Have you ever applied to UW? (Term & Year):Applied to UW Bothell Business School and UW Seattle for Winter 2015 - Admitted to Both - WSA score of 4.25
Decided to just go to UW Bothell Business School before I did the Foster Application for Winter 2015, but went to UW Bothell orientation and decided I wanted to go to Foster. Applying for Fall 2015
