I’ll be okay with the wait as long as I am notified before June has ended. I’m not sure if it would be a good decision to wait through July. I am really conflicted because UW is the dream…
Yeah and I got super discouraged after seeing that neither my UW page nor my unofficial transcript had any change. I know it’s not a solid indicator of my app status but still it’s made me more anxious. I called the admissions office today and they said they’re sending out decisions in waves.
I feel you about the fall and beyond plans too. It’s like I’m in limbo with no idea of what’s gonna happen if I don’t get in and what my plans will look like
Yeah my big challenge is that I would prefer to take classes Online, rather than on campus since I have a pretty good job and dont want to try and manage getting into Seattle for class after work. Bothell is an option since it is easier to get to from the Eastside, but they dont have any online programs. I would be okay with attending on campus at UWB, but the Online ISS degree from UW Seattle is a much better fit.
@barshburs In limbo is literally exactly the term I use when I’m trying to explain to people why this wait is so frustrating. When people are like “what are you doing this summer?” or “can I come visit you in August?” I’m like I DON"T KNOW. I really wouldn’t take not having anything change on the site to be a indication of anything bad-- waves include acceptances and rejections.
Yeah, that and its entirely possible that a letter could show up before anything changes on the site, for better or for worse. I just wish they would hurry it up a bit!
I am extremely nervous. If I do not get accepted then I will apply again. But this waiting is dragging by very slowly.
My transcript loaded a few days ago! Here are my stats for those who were curious:
- Current school: Highline College
- In-state (Yes/No): Yes
- Intended Major: Neurobiology
- Pre-reqs complete by the application deadline (Yes/No): Yes
- Num. of credits by the application deadline: 60
- Num. of credits by the time you enter UW: 90
- ACT and/or SAT: 1640
- Current GPA after 45 credits: 3.61
- Pre-req GPA:
- HS GPA: 2.3
- Have you ever applied to UW? (Term & Year): Autumn 2013 & 2014
I’m still a little skeptical. I really do hope that when the transcript loads, the acceptance follows.
@decayedsyllables @CallMeADawg thanks guys. Reading your responses made me feel a little better.
It’s just so annoying because the notification time is “June to mid July” like thanks, 1 and a half months of waiting to hear whether I have a future or not. LOL. It’s so annoying.
And for me personally I got in last year and said no to go to reed college in Oregon and now I’m just like damn I should’ve gone to uw when I got the chance.
I just wanna know now. Whether it’s good or bad. SO frustrating
You’re welcome.
The wait is very frustrating for sure. Thankfully it will not be forever, and we will all know our fates, but they could speed it up a little!
This month is almost over so we should know the results within the next few weeks…
Yeah, let’s hope that is the case.
any other out of staters waiting to hear back and want to post their stats?
Thought I would share this…
I was outside here at the office, taking a short break, and I got a phone call from the UW’s Online Degree program folks. They called to remind me that the revised deadline for applying is July 3rd. I informed them that I already applied by the original May 1st deadline, and they said they would remove me from their call list.
If they are calling people to try and get more applicants, I am beginning to think I am going to be just fine in terms of getting accepted.
Perhaps they are just desperate for students for the online program.
Only one full week before it is July, hope the decision letters dont leak into July. :S
Yeah, and if they are desperate for more students in the online program the better my chances are of being accepted.
@CallMeADawg Are you only applying to online program?
Yep, I applied May 1st for the Integrated Social Sciences, Online major. I have to wait for UW General admissions like everyone else, and then wait on word from the program. There are no metrics, stats, etc for this program and I also cannot find any details on what the experience was like for the first cohort (Fall, 2014).
I committed to UWB just incase I don’t get into UW Seattle So I’m a little sad I can’t try to use the transcript trick. But this wait is killing me
