Wow awesome
What’s your major and stats?
Looks like they still review summer applicant.
Fall applicants are not yet I guess
That is awesome!! Congrats. I’m waiting still. Can u tell us your info? Transfer from and program? I’m not concerned with your gpa.
Congrats again
I’m transferring from Shoreline CC with an AA. I applied for the Public Health HIHIM program. I still don’t know if I was accepted into the program, but at least I got into the UW.
The waiting game just continues for fall! I’m really glad you got in though!
@LHDC2015 hey congrats! See u in class~ check your unofficial transcript the Major will say Public Health.
still haven’t got anything in the mail yet
honestly this wait is so agonizingly long. my dad passed away recently so i don’t even think i could handle a rejection letter right now
has anyone else heard anything??
@uwedu15 I took a summer class last year so my unofficial transcript loads with that class. Instead of showing Public Health my transcript still says non-matriculated. I’m hoping it just hasn’t updated, but I was accepted. Have you received your acceptance letter in the mail yet?
I’ve heard nothing else either. I’m trying not try cry until it’s official.
@LHDC2015 I have a uw transcript right now because i did classes as a non matric/go to uw bothell
did the major on your myuw front page change? Nothing on my transcript has changed either so i’m hoping they haven’t updated it yet
No major shows on the myuw front page
Today, my unofficial transcript has loaded for both Bothell and Seattle. My due date for fall acceptance into mechanical engineering at Bothell was only due recently on the 1st of May. So I am hopeful this update is from UWS.
For UWS, I applied as a summer transfer with 1st major as Aerospace Engineering and back-up major as Mechanical Engineering.
CC : Bellevue College
GPA: 3.34
Credits: Finishing/Finished Associates of Science Transfer degree.
Essay: Mentioned Hardships and an Internship at UWS back in high school.
I am hoping this is not an error. Unfortunately, I will need to apply into my majors in 30 days. Expecting all my credits transferring, I will need to take UW Chem 152 over the summer *. The predicament will be if I can get into my majors. I really hope I will be able to see my financial package soon. This factor will hold so much weight on my choice to risk it or just go to Gonzaga University into my backup major with its own ship of loans.
- For Bellevue College students: I have received credit for BC Chem 161 and 162, however this transfers as UW Chem 142 and 162. I need UW Chem 142 and 152 for Mechanical Engineering...
I will let you guys know if this has jinxed me and I am actually denied.
I had no idea I would be so worked up over hearing whether I’m getting in! I had intended to be content with not knowing anything until June or July but… I heard two weeks ago that I had been accepted into my major! Obviously, that’s fantastic, I just don’t want to celebrate and tell everyone if somehow I don’t actually get through general admission. Now, not hearing from the school feels crazy…
- Current school: Seattle Central College
- In-state (Yes/No): Yes
- Intended Major: BA in Public Health
- Pre-reqs complete by the application deadline (Yes/No): Yes
- Num. of credits by the application deadline: Don't recall, 60ish I suppose
- Num. of credits by the time you enter UW: 90
- ACT and/or SAT: no test scores
- Current GPA: 3.95
- Pre-req GPA: 4.0
- Have you ever applied to UW? (Term & Year): Never before
So, what I’d like to hear is that no one has ever been accepted to a competitive major and then denied by the school and then I’d like my unofficial transcript to load and have a nice acceptance package in the post!

This is one of my sticking points too. I have a full ride to Eastern and WSU. I’m risking some serious $$$$$$$$ here. If I don’t get in to UW I have to start a mad scramble to find my way over to Eastern WA. It’s putting me in a really tough spot, but also my employer, who i’m not going to be able to give enough notice that i’m leaving, and also my girlfriend who is being offered a promotion at work and is waiting to tell them whether she is quitting and moving to Eastern WA with me. It’s like…UW you have to make a decision… I know some of the idiots you’ve let in to that school your vetting process is not beating the market, just make the decision. Also, I don’t know if anyone at UW reads this site, but if they are looking for constructive criticism they should know that more than a handful of people who work in the admissions office are colossal assholes, and many are completely uneducated on their own job. I’ve been told by multiple people I should have already applied for my major, when it clearly states on my majors website that I can’t apply to the major until I have been accepted to the school. This isn’t the frontline staff i’m talking about either, this is the admissions counselors…
@Temporary4U if you don’t have all prerequisite by the end of summer quarter, that means you got accepted as general transfer.
I applied to bothell last year for ME but I didnt meet the perquisites, so they offered me a general admission which I turns down.
I also applied again this year for ME
@LHDC2015 hey… where are you planning to buy your textbook at?? i’m searching for the textbook in advance that way I see the contextt ahead of time. Plus i dont really like using hardcover, hope they also have a online version.
@uwedu15 Have you received your acceptance letter from HIHIM in the mail? I haven’t looked into the textbooks yet, but I hope they have an online version as well.
Has anyone received their letter in the mail yet? My transcript loaded and status changed to congratulations about two weeks ago and I still have not received the letter in the mail. Is it normal for it to take this long for out of state students?
Sorry to join the discussion so late, but I am also a summer transfer awaiting decision.
I just called the admissions office and they told me they were still processing some letters, so the unofficial transcript trick may or may not work, and that we should be expecting decision letters within the next two weeks (max).
I have been freaking out and it’s really difficult to think of anything else other than whether or not I’ve been accepted unlike all you other lucky people, my transcript has not loaded yet, unfortunately… And I am starting to think my chances are quite slim but people have been telling me to keep my head up.
@LHDC2015 nope I just checked my mail right now… And is Friday already ah. our major department send us an email this Monday and told us we will get a letter by today… For acceptance and letter next week for not accepted applicants. Also I looked into the vaccination form… For Public health… Make sure you get all that done before registration.
@uwedu15 Good to know I’m not the only one who has been accepted, but didn’t receive the letter by today. It sucks we have to get all the vaccination info in before registration. I wish we were notified of acceptance sooner so we had more time to get the tests done and get the paperwork in.
@julie1823 I think its normal for it to take that long for out of state students. The notice I got said it would be 5-10 days before they mailed the letter and that it could be longer for people outside of Washington state.
