UW to aid chopper parents

Say it ain't so

I've heard Nancy discuss the program and I feel it's going to help the school. I suspect higher retention rates and it's mostly a "What's Up at UW" program, as opposed to UW telling parents what their kids are doing at school (e.g. grades, boyfriends...)

It actually is a good idea. As they state, most of the information is there, but hard to locate. I've searched the current info for parents and a more comprehensive site would be nice. It sounds like putting the information from the SOAR handbook (which is given to parents as well as students) online. Imagine finding out about Halloween and the Mifflin Street party from official sources instead of the sensationalism of the news media. It should help dispel a lot of false ideas and worry. You can already poke around the website and get a lot of data, this just organizes it from a parent standpoint- it might satisfy the parents who locate ALL the details to answer a simple question. I have really appreciated using the timetable final exam schedule to predict when we need to transport our son- it saved him from our needing to bug him.
