So I’m in a dilemma. I really love UW, I’m currently a freshman in my first quarter but I’m an OOS and had come to UW thinking I wanted to major in statistics, but now I’m not entirely sure anymore. It’s on the back burner for now, but I would like to explore my options. The problem with that is that the tuition for OOS is ridiculously expensive so I feel like I don’t have the option to explore. I’m considering dropping out after this quarter and going to a CC back home in California and once I figure out what I want to do, reapply to UW if they have a good program for what I wish to study in (more than likely they will but again, I don’t know what exactly I want to do). My concern is that UW won’t take me back considering I dropped out after a quarter. I don’t know what I really want to do anymore but I know that I do love UW and that UW is a phenomenal school so I’m afraid that if I drop out, I won’t be able to get back into such a good school. What do you guys think? Also, I do plan on applying to UCs and CSUs so I wanted to know what you guys think they will think about having another university on my transcript, as in going from a 4 year to a 2 year to a 4 year. Will that worsen my chances?
