UW vs Gonzaga vs Cal Poly vs UC Davis

I will be graduating high school in a couple months and I was accepted to all 4 of these universities for mechanical engineering. However I am still deciding between an aerospace or mechanical engineering major for my future. I am a Washington resident but I am really leaning towards the out of state schools. I know all of these universities have good reputations for their engineering programs, but I am having a difficult time choosing which one to actually go to!

I have friends that go/have gone to UW that can testify for their engineering program, however one of those friends even said if they had they the chance, they would have gone to Gonzaga. I have heard that from several people now and Gonzaga is the only school I didn't visit. I really like Cal Poly's and SLO's vibe and the great rep they have for preparing you to work right after graduating. But I really like the modern feel of UC Davis and they have a better percentage of diversity (I am Filipino). SLO is really cool, but it is pretty isolated and all the buildings and supplies are kind of old school. UC Davis doesn't have much around it but I do have some family in the Bay Area.

All opinions are welcome!

UC Davis is over an hours drive to SF. But it is the most prestigious and has the best engineering program.

SLO is almost as good as Davis.

UW and Gonzaga are less well known. Do you have financial constraints?
