hi guys i'm in dire need of advice haha

i got into UW-Seattle and UCSanDiego but I don't know which to choose! I got into Pre-Science at UW, and Undeclared at Warren for UCSD.

UW(Pros): in state so less money (27k a year)
if i do get into comp sci UW has a really good program
UW(Cons): i do not like living in washington
i heard dorms are bad?? not sure if it's true
really hard to get into comp sci
class sizes are really big i hear

UCSD(Pros): california is my favorite state
10 minutes from beach
easier to get into comp sci program
UCSD(Cons): more expensive(47k a year)
comp sci program not as good as UW

please help! thank you :)

@emmelined i am also admitted to ucsd to warren-undeclared. i don’t think it would be easy to get into computer science as a continuing student. (computer science is impacted or will become impacted next year) Correct me if i am wrong

emmelind
what were your stats?

@dishkyaoon: hmm yeah i think you’re right! cs is always impacted
@Futureholds: 3.9 uw gpa, 8 ib classes, 2290 SAT!

@emmelined Since you’d be undeclared at either university, I suggest taking a look at all the opportunities for non-cs majors for whatever career you want.

What non-cs programs interest you at each university?

What research or internship opportunities are open to non-cs majors?

What companies recruit at each university?
etc…
