@nengerz I’m still confident you will get into UWB. If I got in as a freshmen with a 2.9, I’m SURE you will.

It seems like no one has gotten an official letter from UW seattle yet, so I’m still a little nervous!

But your transcript loaded though for Seattle ya? Like jsmith said…they wouldnt give out student id unless they want you as a student
When you applied for uwb you had a good essay I bet. English isn’t my first language and I dont think my essay was top notch shape…I had a good story behind it but I know it has lots of gramma error…bleh. When/ if I reapply I’m going to have ten different people help me edit my essay lol

@nengerz I worked on my essay all of August and had a couple of different people review it and give me advice. I think it’s the content of your esssay that is really important as well as grammar and many of the essays I’ve read have fail to address all of the questions they ask you to write about - which is so important! I’m a communication major so I personally think english is one of my stronger subjects! My mom attended the UW right after immigrating to the states and she hardly knew english, so I’m sure it is possible!

My friend and I are still waiting for his acceptance letter as well. It’s only the beginning of the notification period, so I’m sure there’s still a pretty good chance for everyone!

Also, I wouldn’t be too concerned about minor errors on the application/personal statement. I strongly feel that content>grammar. I had a few in mine (recently noticed—thought it was flawless at the time of submission lol) and they didn’t seem to care.

Ooh and there are many, many students here at the UW who aren’t fluent in English…and I mean it from every perspective…verbal/written/comprehension/listening/etc. About 1/3 of every single class I’ve been enrolled in have been like that (and I’m not exaggerating).

I honestly think your English is really good. I can clearly understand your posts and I’m sure everyone else can. Getting your points across is more important than grammar itself (unless you’re writing an academic paper that’s strictly graded on grammar), so you should be fine!

Has anyone received an acceptance letter from UWS yet?

I’m curious too. I’m currently stalking my mailman… my friend got hers yesterday so i feel like they must have sent some out by now. She got accepted into her major though, so maybe they sent those out first??

@husky1212 Thank you for the reassuring words I’m crossing all my fingers and toes that I may still have a shot

So I just found out that the equivalency guide that I’ve been looking at prior to applying changed. I don’t think I have enough transferable credits… -.-
@Jsmith210 this is similar to the situation that you were in before, right?

@UWchancemeh That happened to me too. I only have 42 at the moment and I’ll have 52 by winter quarter.

I just got my gold envelope in the mail. My transcript loaded around 3:30 pm on wednesday

Got my letter today! Its a small yellow envelope but it says THE BIG ENVELOPE on it… lol.

I’m so anxious! Still waiting for the mail :-?

@andielle have you checked your mail today? What day did ur transcript load? Where are you located in seattle?

All the people who got their letter when are you guys located in seattle I’m so anxious toget off work so I can check my mail!

My mail already came today. No letter . My transcript loaded later than most people’s though, so maybe that has something to do with it. Also, I live on the Eastside.

@lola55 My mail hasn’t come today yet. I’m in Bellevue so fairly close to UW. I’m not sure when my transcirpt loaded because it would only update once a day. I check it on Wednesday at noon (before they started to load) so I couldn’t refresh my transcript till the next day. It could have loaded anytime Wednesday I just couldn’t see it.Therefore I found out at midnight.

@200pants Where on the Eastside are you?

My friend got hers and she lives in Renton so I don’t think that has anything to do with it.

I’m on the East side so I’m close to UW, too. @Andielle I bet yours comes today!!

@husky1995 I hope so! I’ve been staring out my window since like 1 lol

Im in first hill so pretty close to UW keeping my fingers crossed!

My letter came!!!
