@pinkforgetmenots I am transferring from a much different school than UW. Pepperdine is a small churches of Christ school situated in Malibu. Not much happens here and I have a lot of friends that have transferred or are transferring. The general education requirements are pretty crazy. We’re talking about three semesters of another language other than the one you took in high school and should have placed out of because of AP tests, three semesters of religion, three semesters of humanities, 14 convocation credits per semester (meaning you have to attend a faith-based hour long talk 14 times per semester, and required to take a whole bunch of other GEs that you cannot choose yourself. I just don’t like how they make you take the classes they think will make you more rounded. I love how UW has broad categories of GEs and lets you decide which courses in those categories most suit you. Also, I wanted to switch my major to biochem and I wouldn’t be able to here because of the strict course requirements (I already started a physics that was not accepted by the biochem department). Anyway I could list a lot of reasons why I wanted to transfer, but I still love Pepperdine and will miss it if I do end up getting an acceptance in the mail. Yes it is going to be really hard for me to leave, but I think this is God’s path for me PS sorry for the long message lol

@pinkforgetmenots ahhh Seattle U! My cousin goes there and I have a few friends that go there as well. They love it! But yes, I agree with UWchancemeh. I think all are great, but I do think UW is the hardest to get into out of the three. At least you have the option, many people don’t :)

Are you two planning on living in the dorms or renting an apartment?
I REALLY want to rent an apartment, but I heard its nearly impossible to find one near UW for a decent price during the Winter…

@UWchancemeh I was thinking maybe just dorms. We may end up getting the North Campus dorms, which I have heard are not too good. I would want to get an apartment, but I too heard that it’s pretty hard during the winter.

That’s not a bad idea.
Yeah, I really want to avoid North Campus, I too have heard that it’s not worth the price.
I guess I’ll be apartment hunting once break comes along!
Ugh, and we have orientation -.-"

Hey guys for those of you who got your transcript to load and didn’t receive a letter yet… we are in. I was exploring the my uw page. When you go to the admissions tab and click first year programs, the screen that will pop up says welcome to UW and congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Washington. I think that means we ARE in!!! :)

Oooh, thanks!
Yeah, I’m pretty sure that we are in.
I received an e-mail from the Financial Aid office about an hour ago with my student ID, which indicates that I am in their system.

losing faith in getting in at UW officially coming down between choosing from WWU and WSU which is tearing me apart. ugh I have no idea where to go!

Remain hopeful!
I too was losing faith and began working on a personal statement for the Autumn 2015 application.
There is still time, transcripts have been loading for a couple days now so it could always load tomorrow!
Best of luck, WWU and WSU are great schools.
Choose the school, which you will be happiest at! :)

@sweetpsychosis Please do remain hopeful! I posted on this thread a few days ago that the admissions counsellors had said that they still haven’t made a lot of decisions yet. They have also sent out a butt load of rejections. The fact that you haven’t received one is a really good sign at this point. Also the first batch of people have to reply by the 19th I believe, therefore there is sure to be another batch soon. I believe in you! Yet WSU and WWU are great also. I have a couple of friends at WSU…they love it there! Good luck and don’t lose faith :)

Congrats to those of you who have gotten in!! So happy for y’all, unfortunately my transcript hasn’t loaded yet and though I am a little discouraged I know it’s not over till a rejection letter or as they say till the fat lady sings haha. I keep checking to see if it will load every like 10 mins I feel like and nothing, but I still haven’t gotten anything in the mail either so I guess that’s a good sign, but I’m not too sure at this point. I do feel like my application was pretty damn good haha but who knows, the ball is in UW’s court now.

@Cass24 don’t feel discouraged yet! Like I said admissions is planning on sending out letters into the beginning of December. I also remember you to be an out-of-state transfer as well. Although they say it’s difficult, it sure is possible. Don’t give up hope yet. I’m sure another batch will load soon.

Thanks!
Continue to be hopeful.
I was in your position until yesterday, even began working on the next application.
UW is going to send out letters into early December so there is still time.
