My insta is @emrys_27

I have also applied through the National committee of India. Have you heard from them yet?

Hi all, I just found this website, and am applying to UWC through the US comity. I had my skyp interview, and am nervously waiting to hear back. I think we hear this week, they had said around the 18th has anyone heard back? Also if anyone wants to talk my ig is una.s.e

Hey everyone! Iā€™m a bit late to this threadā€¦ I hope everyone got good responses so far! I am applying through the US committee and heard back that I passed the skype interview a few days ago!! Iā€™m super excited and nervous for the next round! Let me know if anyone else is a US finalist!

Hey! Iā€™m also a current UWC student, so if you have any questions about selecting colleges, financial info, living abroad or anything else feel free to ask!

Hi thinkingoffood,
Were you eligible for financial help? How much did you end up paying?
and what school are you going to?
Thanks for your help!

Congratulations! Iā€™m also a finalist for the US committee I canā€™t wait to meet you in February.

Hey all! So glad I finally found this thread! Iā€™m applying through the Canadian national committee (Ontario) and received an email explaining that those who have made the shortlist will be notified by mid-January. Havenā€™t heard anything since and the nerves are definitely catching up to me! Has anyone from Canada heard about interviews yet???

I applied through the Indian portal and had my interview back in December. I hope to hear from them in Feb.
Anyone else who applied through the Indian national committee?

Hey same here, I had my interview on 19 decā€¦ Super excited for the results.
How was your interview?

Hey all! Sorry for the late reply.

I got a full scholarship (for reference, my family makes ~65-80 000 USD a year) and I currently go to Adriatic. Please note that scholarship amounts really depend on national committee (I got in through the Canadian committee!) and even case to case - one of my friends who I met at interviews pays much more than me despite her family making a similar amount. However, cost is usually not a problem as the US committee gives out really REALLY great scholarships because of Shelby Davis.

If you have any questions about UWC life, let me know! Iā€™d like to think that I know things about the vast majority of colleges/UWC prep in general

@thinkingoffood Thank you for the information, it was helpful! Adriatic is one of my top choices, but honestly going to any UWC would be amazing and a honor. Itā€™s probably hard to sum up a UWC experience, however what would you say your time at Adriatic has ben like?

Life-changing. Thereā€™s been a few rough patches, but I think that those revealed lessons that changed my entire mindset about things. Living with people from around the world has illuminated many stereotypes that I didnā€™t know I held, and let me learn about so many interesting cultures. Iā€™m a huge politics nerd, so one of the best parts of UWC is talking about world politics with people from those countries!

Btw, just donā€™t expect good food at UWC unless youā€™re at Dilijan (and sometimes Adriatic).

Thank you! As a fellow political nerd (whoā€™s friends arenā€™t) that sounds amazing.

Sorry, I havenā€™t hit the minimum post requirement for messaging people yet, and Iā€™m also not comfortable sharing my email publicly.

If you have a question thatā€™s not private, though, definitely feel free to ask!

Ok thanksā€¦ totally understand

At UWC Adriatic, in case one doesnā€™t get a scholarship, and has to pay the full fee, would he have the opportunity to apply for the Shelby Davis scholarship post 12 th grade? Or is that entirely need based?

And what other expenses are entailed in the course of the year besides fees.?
