Do you any of you non-US people know if you got in yet, and where? I’m US, and got in, I’m trying to find more co-years.

Which UWC school did you go to? My son (10th grade high honors, yippee!) wants to apply to UWC. The application process if I understand it correctly, has 2 avenues, 1)USA committee applications, which makes financial aid available to the student and they do not get to pick the school, they rank which ones they want to go to? And 2) Global applications, which is parents pay in full and student applies to one school?
We would like to know what the need based requirements are for US students? We are concerned that if we chance going through committee, he will miss this opportunity. Are there merit awards?
This kid is determined, I will say that much. Please help me understand this process better
