UWC applicants year 2014

@Grizzzly The school looks great on pictures! (although I saw they found some skeletons). I think when you’re the first year you write history and you get to try everything and I think if you would make a blog about the school it would be popular as the first year. It’s only too bad you don’t have any second years

@WorldViewer, yup, I understand where your mother is coming from. But like I’ve told other people before, stay in a group if you’re going into town, if you can have a guy go along with you great, don’t stay out too late, and don’t go to any shady looking places. You should be fine if you do those things, but that will hardly ease your mom’s worries.

@RipCity14 thanks for the tips, I will remember them if I’m lucky enough to get accepted for MUWCI

@grizzly it sounds like a great chance to be the first year to go there, but it would also be nice to have some second years for guidance…
@worldviewer my German is awful, but I only really speak English :frowning:
Money is a worry for me too, no idea where is best for a scholarship

@WorldViewer, well if I get accepted, you can just ask me, and I’ll be more than happy to accompany you’ll into town  And it’s not like the second you’re not in a group you’ll get attacked or something, it’s pretty safe if you’re in a mall or something or a place with a lot of foot traffic.

@WorldViewer & @flopsyUK you might not have second years at your school but you can talk to second years at the other colleges, we’ll be more than happy to help you out :D

@RipCity14 yeah hopfully we’ll meet each other :)

@flopsyUK Here there aren’t many scholarships, that’s why I’m hoping for one of the less expensive schools. T

@worldviewer they are very coy about finances here, claim finance shouldn’t stop you going…

@flopsyUK Well, the one the commite thinks is best for UWC has the most posability for a scholarship (if he or she needs it), so I only need to make sure I’m (one of the) most suitable applicants :/

@Grizzzly Hello! Nice to see your presence on here and it must be amazing to go to Swaziland!

@RipCity14 Are you not on the facebook group?

@aureleo no I am not. I haven’t told some of my family and most of my friends that I’m applying and would like to keep that private. I don’t mind adding you guys though.

@aureleo Thanks for the warm welcome :)

@RipCity14 That’s cool! Do you have Twitter? I use it more so it would be easier :)

@Grizzzly, totally random, but I was wondering how the school food was? Or do people just cook on their own because its better than eating the same school food over and over?

@worldviewer the selection process and means testing are meant to be seperate here

@tecz77 i’m not at UWC yet, but from what my second years told me, people just cook on their own because it’s better than eating the same school food over and over.

@Grizzzly, not having second years there is bad because they can’t guide us. But we were lucky if we would have nice second years around the world like you. But missing out on meeting 100 new people who you would make friends with is worse I think.
And also, after you finished the two years in WK do you have to wait a year to attend university or you finish your second year early enough to start university right after?

@aureleo, Twitter is probably the only social media site I don’t use lol.

(ps: I write in conditional because I am not selected yet.)

@Grizzzly, that sounds awesome, I don’t know if they have the same thing in MUWCI, but cooking your own food sounds better.
