UWC application 2017-2019

Hi I’m a high school student (going into sophomore year) from Candada.
I am applying this year, and if I don’t get in I will be reapplying the next year to United world colleges. I was wondering what are some things I might want to work on or what would be somthing I can do to help me get in.
I am currently working on starting a club that helps youth volunteer in the community.
My average for school is 94% (out of 100)
I do community theater and volunteerly choreograph dance routines in a local theater company
I volunteer at a local old folks home.
My hobbies include drawing, running, and cooking.
The clubs I have been apart of at school are: our schools breakfast program, free the children, best buddies ( a club where you build friendships with students with intellectual disabilities) and our schools musical.

Heyy, there’s a thread for this application period going already hehe maybe you could post it there as well  We’re getting a whatsapp group chat started too!

Personally I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in. You look really good on paper, so I think you just gotta keep doing what you’re doing, and think more about the interviews and group activities (idk if they do that in Canada). Figuring out what you want to learn from UWC, why you applied, and what are the main things you could bring to the table (you’re artistic so that should be easy!). I don’t know you so I can’t judge from here, but if you’re shy practice those speaking skills and know how to present all your wonderful achievements!

Anyways, advice from little old me I guess. Feel free to copy this post into the other thread, might get you more feedback! I’ll link it down below…
