VA Tech Class of 2021 -- Engineering Admissions Decisions

Good luck everyone!

What time do you expect decisions will be released?

From VT Twitter @FollowMeToVT

@STEM2017 did you hear in the first round? S did not get a decision so he’ll find out today. Not overly optimistic but always hopeful!

@jmek15 Yes, S was one of the lucky ones admitted in the first round. No rhyme or reason…just lucky.

Good luck to you!

It’s out

Decisions are in!
Accepted into Second choice major, Enviro Planning

Oh, they’re early! My D is in. It shows as “general engineering.” Is that the same for everyone or does that mean she did not get into EE?

All engineering students are General Engineering. They pick their specific major after freshmen year.

I had the same question, @snoozn. S also accepted General Engineering!

It should say clearly (second choice major).

Can anyone tell me where I can view my decision? There’s nothing on my application status page.

Click application information and then Fall 2017, your decision should be there

Denied at Engineering. Really surprised. In state, 36 ACT, 800 Math 2, 4.2 GPA with 9 APs taken.

Wow, @AspiringScho1ar , given your stats that is surprising. I am very sorry that you didn’t get good news today.

Hi, does anybody know if International applicants are included or is it just U.S. freshmen. Because I still haven’t received any decision yet.

S was denied admission to Engineering, and accepted to the University Studies program. So he’s UCF-bound, and looking forward to it.

Great to hear from those who got into VT Engineering. If you’re OOS, hope you’ll find a way to make it work financially – it’s a terrific school. Thanks for participating on this thread, everyone. Really appreciate your encouragement.

@VABogart Your son is going to love UCF! All of our kids ultimately end up where, in my opinion, God has a plan for them.

Aspiringscholar in the boston college thread you mentioned having a 34 act.

@raclut V-Tech only looks at two sections of the ACT so he may have gotten 36 on those two.
