OOS for both.
Cost for OSU less due to scholarships; however think I want a college town atmosphere.
What about the reputation of the programs? Looking to do Computer Science–EE as a backup.
Ave starting salaries at Va Tech much higher based on university published reports.
I know Tech has a really strong CO OP program.
Looking for an all around college experience.
Both have good engineering reputations. One thing you would want to consider since you’re out of state, is where you’d like to live after graduation. VT hires a lot around the Mid Atlantic especially the DC and Richmond, VA area. Ohio State more around the Midwest. With a EE degree from both schools, you would probably have mobility all over the country, but there is much more recruiting for each of those regions respectively for those schools.
Both would provide an incredible college experience IMHO, and starting salary would be very respectable from both schools.
