<p>Your memory is good TheDad. Of the 20 plus colleges we've visited, about half limited interviews (and overnight stays too) to seniors.
What we mostly received from our "early visits" was a sense of how D. saw herself fitting in with various school cultures. We thus knew early on what daughter didn't want (no Greeks, no clutches of girls with pravda bags), and that helped us plan more effective and focused visits later in junior year. Interestingly, while some of the things she wants in a school have changed since our first look-and-see visits, how she views herself, and the type of atmosphere she wants, has not.</p>
