I have changed the type of vacations I like. When my husband was alive it was all about chasing surf around the world. Or bareboat sailing vacations in the tropics somewhere. I’ve had a lot of ‘Beach’ vacations, but not the type where I get to lay on the beach on a lounge chair and a waiter brings me a pina colada🤣
Now I am trying to find ways I can feel comfortable traveling solo. I’m more into cultural destinations with a lot of history. I want the opposite of where I live. I only get to travel once a year with my girlfriends (usually Europe) so I think I might be destined for a small river cruise or a small food type tour for my other vacations.
I am a huge researcher/planner, it’s half the fun for me.
