just wondering if anyone applied to the vagelos program, and if they did apply early, if they got in etc.

how likely is it also to not get a spot in the program but still get accepted to CAS?

thanks!

yeah, i applied to the roy vagelos program. funny because although there's been hundreds of threads on upenn so far, none have been about this program. have you heard how many kids they accepted or any ED kids who got in?

thanks!

I know two people from my school got in.

oh that's really cool. do you know around what their statistics were like? any idea on how competitive the program is this year?

Yeah, I've noticed the "shortage" of Vagelos applicants as well. Furthermore, I applied to Vagelos' management track, whereas the five other people on the RD Applicant thread applied to the Life Sciences' track . . . is it just me, doing Management?

I'm thinking about switching to the Management track, but I'm not entirely sure yet. I sent an email asking if that was a possiblity.

So I'm assuming vagelos acceptees are going to the LSM preview day on April 10?

ummm i got in... im in the Life Sciences Track... i dont think i can go to the preview day because my mom has work... but i might fly back home on my own

o yea if anyone who got into the program wants to IM my sn is the same as my username... id be really happy to talk to u! im so excited :)

I didn't apply to Vagelos; I had never even heard of it until I received the invitation to the Molecular Life Sciences (not the management) program with my acceptance packet.

I got into the program...Life Sciences Track...but I'm thinking about maybe switching to Management (havent decided for sure yet, I'm gonna wait until after I take a couple classes first I think) but I heard its not hard to switch from one to the other from a current Penn student. Does anyone know what year 1 will look like? ANY idea at all of specific courses or anything? because I have none. And also is it true that as part of the program we only get 2 electives (both in senior year)?

i'm doing vagelos molecular life sciences- so if anyone wants to share contact info, let me know.

There are two different programs that are being talked about here.

Vagelos - Life Sciences & Management (degree program between the College & Wharton that you must apply to just like Huntsman and M&T)

Vagelos - Molecular Life Sciences (separate biochem program that you get invited to based on major and grades)
