Is there any way to indicate on the common app or any other application that I'm my school's only valedictorian, since some schools have like 50, and in a class of only about 50, I don't want it to seem like there are any valedictorians other than me. Thanks for any responses.

That type of information goes in the GC's report. There's a part where it says "class rank ____ of ____ , number of students sharing this rank _____". I wouldn't mention it in the essay.

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean in the essay, I meant under awards and honors. That is the correct place to put that I'm the valedictorian, right?

no, the guidance counselor and your transcript will have this information. your transcript will show that you are number 1, and as TGC06 said the guidance counselor's report asks the question of how many students share the rank. so i wouldnt put "valedictorian" as an award; maybe put some scholarship you received for being valedictorian or something.

don't worry, they will know that you are the valedictorian

also, presumably you are still in high school and have one more semester after this one. while you may be ranked #1 in your class now, and you may be so far ahead that you're sure you'll still be ranked #1 at graduation, saying that you're the valedictorian might strike some admissions committees as presumptuous.
