Because we have to take validation tests over plebe summer, I assumed it would be pointless to take any AP tests. However, the following website says certain AP test scores can automatically validate the respective course:

USNA Course Validation Policy

Would it be in my best interest to sign up late for the AP tests or just wait for the validation tests?

I would take the AP tests for anyone who is just going through the process of applying or is thinking about applying to the academy.

This looks to be the current policy. Why not take the AP test or IB while it is fresh.
[USNA Course Validation Policy](http://www.usna.edu/acdean/candidateinfo/USNACourseValidationPolicy.htm)

Should we use AP or SAT II Subject books to prepare for the tests?

AP. USNA has no use for SAT subject scores or exams.Agree w/ mom. The upside is substantial. Downside, at least from a USNA perspective is none.

if it is late than it would not make much difference other than that you would probably have to review more if you did validations and it would be during plebe summer so i dont imagine that would help any :P
