<p>How do you know what a colleges least competitive major is? I know applying as a random major could give u a better shot but it could also hurt you if you don't know enough about that schools major.</p>
<p>Unless you are applying for a specific program (ex. business or engineering) I’ve heard from admissions officers that they really don’t put stock in the major a person applies for because in their experience about half of the people coming in with majors end up changing the major while they are in college. </p>
