Vampires at Taft??

Last year I posted a link to the headmaster's holiday announcement from Taft with Will Smith and Peter Berg..... this year the announcement was hysterical with girls known to be fainting in the front row of the auditorium. If this was already posted, please excuse me. For those parents on the thread... apparently Edward Cullen (alias Robert Pattison) is considered Hot. I'm not sure how this will be factored into the bunkel index, but quite possibly it could give taft an extra few hundred points allowing it to be elevated back up to tier 1.5 or heaven forbid for all those who support HADES... tier 1!!!!!!! I don't remember how to actually put in a hyper link so you might just have to search youtube for Taft Headmaster's Holiday.

Enjoy

I think the extra points gained from this announcement & tallied by Bunkel definitely puts it in the 1.5 tier…,

My daughter was breathless when she called between classes to tell me. In fact - so breathless I initially panicked that something was wrong because she could barely get her words out. She said girls were screaming so loud she could hardly hear the video. And of course, there was that “Team Jacob” contingent hoping for a Taylor Lautner appearance. But she and her classmates were blown away that their school could pull that level of “star power” off.

Since the video has gone viral on a lot of Twilight fan sites AND on Entertainment Weekly, I say the “it” factor just jumped for Taft. For students, Robert Pattinson totally trumps Will Smith. And for Taft it was a major coup since Twilight is probably the hottest series in publishing since Harry Potter in terms of sales and movies.

Headmaster MacMullen will have a hard time topping this - although I suspect he and Peter Berg are already conspiring for next year’s surprise. One student requested Paul McCartney.

The publicity and marketing value alone is worth millions. They’re going to be flooded with apps given the buzz.

For some students, any ties to Twilight would actually lower their opinions of the school. I doubt it had the same effect on the guys.

I know - the books are wretched. It wasn’t the “book” tie-in, it was the guy. I suspect the boys were less impressed with the selection. lol! MacMullen will have to even the score for next year.

Girls think Pattinson is hot. Although I’m still scratching my head on that one. Apparently started when he played Cedric Digury in Harry Potter.

Still - anything that makes my daughter giddy and results in a phone call home gets my full support (smile)!
