<p>“The Nokia Theatre was silent as Wendy’s CEO and president Kerrii Anderson opened the envelope, which would determine the winner of the Wendy’s High School Heisman. Trevor VanAckeren, ’08, sat nervously with his family beside him waiting to hear the announcement. With an ESPN camera crew focusing on Trevor and the rest of the finalists, Anderson revealed that Trevor had won.</p>

<p>“I was nervous because the ceremony was so formal and intense. The entire room was silent,” said Trevor. </p>

<p>That moment was one of the most memorable for both Trevor and the school and it was one that was four years in the making.</p>

<p>Trevor’s accomplishment was a combination of the impact of his family, friends and the school.</p>
