Vanderbilt 2021 Waitlist

Well, @hopelessopus12 got in, and he applied to the same major as I did, so rip. Congrats to all of you!

I was wondering the same thing. Im emailing my counselor to see if he’ll tell me

So do y’all send your emails through the website or do you actually do the old fashioned email. I have sent two things through the website with no response so I am wondering whether or not they even reached my AC

Financial aid is on the portal. If you click the “application overview” drop down menu (it’s the first tab at the top), financial aid will be one of the choices

How long do people on the waitlist have to decide?

How does the “wave” system work? When will the second wave be around?

@sheetcake I am anxiously waiting as well. I looked in last year’s thread and the second wave came on May 11.

I wish they would communicate with us :frowning: This waiting is killing me lol

My son had admission off the wait list on 5/2, and got 3 days to accept (5/5), and declined last night. So from now on it’s going to start the 2nd wave… today or very shortly. Hope, you get in!

Why did your son choose WashU over Vanderbilt?

hum… I didn’t tell my son goes to WashU… how did you know it? It seems you just today joined the CC… but maybe a long time user as guest to search various communities in CC.

That’s his choice and I just support him financially. He likes more the South 40 than the Ingram Commons, and said others can’t be differentiated… I like both cities and universities, though…

Is there anything at all I can do to increase my chances of getting off Vandy’s waitlist? I’ve already visited and emailed my regional admissions counselor…

May 11 was a Monday last year, so does that make tomorrow the likely day for the next wave?

@destined4harvard I have no source of information but I’d expect it to be mid to late week. Could be completely wrong though.

It was a super tough choice for me but I ended up declining my spot. Hopefully it goes to one of you!

I was waitlisted for peabody and got in. I got $62,000 ish in fin aid and I have until the 11th to decide, but I’m not too sure yet…

Congrats @firstgen2021 !! Is this the second wave?

@firstgen2021 “but I’m not too sure yet…” cruel statement to use on this thread. Most would die for that spot.

@firstgen2021 what day did you get off the waitlist?

@ryongpark you told everybody about your son getting into Wash U off the waitlist in your other thread.
