Vanderbilt applicants, what's your safe school?

Rhodes
Baylor

I pray everyday for spot at Vandy.

Leftwich, I read on the UAB website that if you tour the campus on a Friday, you can drop off your paperwork before the tour and afterwards they'll have your acceptance answer.

Definitely a safety :)

Furman. Probably the most beautiful campus in the country.

^ Um no. Both Vandy and Princeton's campuses pwn Furman's.

Ole Miss
Tulane
Alabama

pwn?

whoistebow, I thought you were accepted ED. Were those your safetys lol?

UT Knoxville

University of Alabama at Birmingham
University of Alabama
Tulane

my D applied to Tulane (i agree a great, safer choice) and Miami Ohio--which was be a good safe bet, with a similar feel (though not in the south and not in a city-but has a beautiful campus, a similar atmosphere, greek life, sports etc.--and its in a nice little town) and it has rolling decision.

I also applied to Tulane EA and got in with $24k... have absolutely no intention of going unless Vanderbilt decides to reject me (NOOOOOOO!). The safety schools that I had planned on are these:

App State
ETSU
MT State
CO State
Rutgers
Case Western
U of Louisville

Ended up not applying to ColoState, was accepted at Rutgers, Case ($$$), MSU (full $$$), withdrew apps from App, Louisville, and ETSU.

Aleady in at Tulane with half a ride and honors.

Wellesley, Barnard/Columbia, and others of the same kind. My ultimate back up is Middle Tennessee State.

Highland Mom,

Yeah, UAB is a definite safety, but they are very giving and persistent if they want you. I got a university wide scholarship and a business scholarship (separate app I had to fill out). I just had a professor from the business school call me this weekend and give me his cell phone # and telling me to call anytime if I ever have any questions. He congratulated me as well. Then, a couple hours later, I received a package in the mail. Ordinarily, we, as applicants, just receive envelopes/pamphlets from colleges. A lady from the business school that I've spoken to over the phone when I've had questions sent me a laptop carrying case with "UAB School of Business" printed on the front as well as a little hand-written card.

It's flattering.

MissingLink,

Where are you from?

vanderbilt...

but safe safe is rose-hulman and montana state

Your username drives me nuts considering my name is also Lance and your username is one of my many nicknames.

Yeah, MT State is definitely a safety. If you have a pulse, you're in. I applied just because I'm from MT and it's kind of a ritual.

Tulane, FSU, GWU, Wake, Sewanee, Wake (kinda), UF (kinda)

Marquette and TCU.

Penn State!

Chapel Hill
