I know its a bit early for this, but since we have one going for EDI, I thought I would go ahead and start this one. Who else is applying? I've already applied!!!

why didnt u just do edI? not enough time?

i might do edii - hoping for emory edi though

yea I didnt have enough time or I would have definitely done edI

anybody know how many kids apply for edii and what the acceptance rate is like?

Here are last year’s statistics. Unfortunately, they don’t differentiate between EDI and EDII in their admissions data.

Early Decision Admitted Student Profile, Vanderbilt Incoming Class of 2010

Middle 50% SAT (CR+M): 1390-1470
Middle 50% ACT: 30-33
% in Top Ten % of Graduating Class: 90.32%
Average Rank in Class: 4.70%
Overall Admit Rate: 31.91%

if i don’t get into rice ed1, it’s vandy ed2

Just got rejected from Duke ED so I will be applying to Vanderbilt EDII

@elitesrbluecheer

same exact thing happened to me… just sent in my app

I may do EDII. I got deferred from Brown. Although, it does depend on my Uchicago decision Friday.

yeah i got deferred from rice so it’s vandy ed2
is it true that vanderbilt doesn’t defer?

Vanderbilt does not defer from early decision unfortunately. You’re either in or you’re not.

I’ll be applying to peabody EDII

i applied to EDII a while ago, and i have no idea if i’ll get in haha. i’d like to think that i will, but you never know. february 15th can’t come fast enough.

Right? I’ve had my application in since before the EDI deadline because that’s originally what I was supposed to do. I want to know NOW
Do you think they’ll send out the decisions a day or two early like they did with EDI?

If you didn’t get into Rice, what makes you think Vandy would be different? I’m not being mean, just asking because they are the exact same ranking on USWNR

That’s like saying, “If you didn’t get into Harvard, what makes you think you can get into Yale or Princeton?”. It happens all the time. Admissions is a random process. Many overqualified kids are rejected from some top notch schools, but that doesn’t mean they should lower their standards.

why would you apply to Duke in the first place? They don’t have fun there.

I’m a vandy EDII’er!
Applied to CAS and Peabody.
Good luck all! :D

just a question to all of you other EDIIers. I started this big fundraiser thing at my school a couple years back (it’s an annual event now) and theres an article about it in a magazine that explains what it is pretty well. I wrote about it a little on my application but it’s a little confusing. Is it worth sending that article in to Vandy or maybe even my admissions counselor?

aimeenard send it in with your resume as a part of your application

I applied back in November because I was originally doing ED1 (long story) so they already have my application. Should I just send this in anyway with a note to add it to my file?
