Vanderbilt Class of 2024 RD Discussion

Rumor also say Hopkins and Rochester come out today. We’ll see.

I wondered if universities would start releasing decisions early with everything closing down. Really hoping the rumors are accurate!

@onelittleredfrog Hopkins is coming out today. It had been declared a month back and we got a reminder yesterday!

I really hope Vanderbilt comes soon too! I am really excited for it. I missed the Scholarship deadlines (I was revising my Essays) and hence, have no clue what the outcome is gonna be…

So where is this rumor coming from?

My son received the “thanks for playing” email as well, but we already knew he didn’t get it because a classmate was offered a CV scholarship the day before.

Yeah I received an email for a Yes for the CV scholarship on March 9

Also, anybody have any insights or comments on their own experiences or their childs experiences with Vanderbilt engineering from recent years? I’ve talked to some adults that graduated a long time ago but I’d like to hear from people who are attending or have graduated recently and how they enjoyed their experience or didn’t. If you do have anything to say you can PM me so it doesn’t flood this discussion or something. I’m planning on majoring in ChemE.

If the rumors are true, do we know what time things normally get posted? I thought I read it was 5:30pm CT last year?

I doubt they are true. I though they send emails to let you know.

I didn’t get an email about the CV scholarship, so I emailed them and they said I would hear back about it by the end of March. Does anyone know why my response is delayed?

Applied for mathematics

Your resume looks nice to me. 1 question that I’d have as an admissions person is…if you are majoring in mathematics, why didn’t you take the Math 2 subject test?

thanks for the response! I took it but only scored a 690 or so because I took it early just to try it out and then my counselor told me not to bother taking it again but I never put it on my application. I have thought that I should have focused on more subject tests but they were rarely brought to my attention in the process.

So when do we think the decision is coming out?

Last year they came out the 27th.

Can you guys check the top right of your admissions portals and see if you have “VU School” written or “Vanderbilt School” it may be an indication of something.

@FlyTheW Mine says VU School. Idk if it’s an indication of something though I don’t remember if it ever was different.

Mine also says VU school. I didn’t remember nor notice anything different.

I thought it did

@123456789111 what does yours say?
