vanderbilt early decision...

i need help ASAP…

so as of now, i have a 30 on the ACT and 32 superscore…

the vandy application deadline is on nov. 1… i have to take the ACT test on oct. 24… and the act test takes about 2 weeks to grade…but on the vandy website it says that the last preferred date to take the ACT IF you are applying for ED is on oct. 24th… so how does that work out if the ACT takes 2 weeks but you have less than a week to send your ACT scores to them ???

i have my application done for most of my schools… i just need to pay and go back and add the ACT score.

Early Decision I

October 3, 2015 — Preferred last day to take the SAT Reasoning Test
October 24, 2015 — Preferred last day to take the ACT
November 1, 2015 — Blair DecisionDesk application/prescreening video submission deadline*
November 1, 2015 — Deadline for completed application
December 5, 2015 — Blair School of Music auditions
December 15, 2015 — Admission decisions available
December 31, 2015 — Deadline for matriculation deposit

bump

@harrisonwe98 universally, the last acceptable test date for the ACT for ED is September. You should’ve known that. Any test dates after that will not be accepted.

But in this case, all you have to do is just send it in. Nothing will be affected.

@basedchem so im safe?

Vanderbilt doesn’t superscore ACT.

I would not recommend early decision with a 30.

but regardless… i CAN still send in my ACT test though right ?

@ClarinetDad16 Vanderbilt does superscore the ACT, they told me this at an information session very recently.

@collegebobollege ask Vanderbilt to place that in writing to you. I do not see anything online that confirms Vanderbilt superstores the ACT.

It doesn’t matter for me because I only took the ACT once, but they said it a new policy for this admissions cycle and thus I’m not all that surprised it isn’t on the website.

alright. thanks for the input guys! @collegebobollege @clarinetdad16 … just one more question, even if they DO or DO NOT accept superscored ACT scores, does my application become weaker if i send in my application with a superscored ACT???
