Nerve-wracking I bet. At least it was for me ahaha. But it felt so great to just be done with it (:

I wrote my Common App essay the night it was due. I’m at Vandy…but maybe don’t be me.

@Sykology did you apply ED or RD? Stats?

I just submitted my application last night. For those of you who already submitted, how long did it take before you heard back and received information about interviews?

@Elizabeth1315 How did you schedule your interview?

@Living61 On MyAppVU, there is a tab at the top that says Interview I think. I just clicked on that page, and it gave me a list of interviewers in my area. I requested with one of them, and she emailed me to set up the time and place.

@nerdfighter23 Are you counting down to the 15th? Because I know last year they got their decisions on the Friday before, which would be the 12th this year. I’m hoping that holds true- less waiting!

@Elizabeth1315 Haha yep I am (: That would be a nice surprise though! (Well, hopefully nice hehehe.) I was reading something about that today so it’d be nice if they did that. I think I just need to forget about it until a few days before or else it’s gonna seem like it’s taking ages to get there

I don’t even have any interviewers in my area though aha
Not surprising for the middle of nowhere

What brings you to Vandy if you’re so far away @nerdfighter23 ?

Oh goodness, just everything about it. I can’t even describe how awesome I think it its (: Plus there isn’t a whole lot left for me in Washington… My family’s pretty dysfunctional and not in a good way, and my dad is probably going to be moving to Mississippi, so Nashville is certainly closer to that than WA is. But yeah, just everything about Vandy is amazing (: Aha I’m only applying to one school in WA and it’s my backup, the rest are out of state.

Okay I don’t know why that face comes up for : / lol

@nerdfighter23 yeah, I am definitely trying to forget about it! It is impossibly hard though…

@Elizabeth1315 I know what you mean, it’s on my mind probably every hour of the day, no joke. It’s kind of ridiculous/insane, but I don’t know how to stop thinking about it haha.

CollegePanda96,

I applied EDII and I’m a junior now. I had a 35 on the ACT and a 4.0 UW. My extracurriculars were kind of lackluster. In fairness I think I may have had a slight hook for Vanderbilt specifically but I won’t mention it because it’s not helpful and I’m not sure it really helped. Good luck to you.

I feel like I’m going to explode not knowing! 7 weeks are going to go so slowly!

Nooo the band was playing so loud and I could hear it in my testing room and it distracted me do much. I cancelled my scores to Vandy.
I need help!
Should I also send my 31C (29/34/33/27) with my already sent 32C (34/30/30/32)??

I can’t remember if they superscore ACT…if they do then by all means send it because you’ve got two that are higher in your 31C one

I’m pretty sure they don’t superscore the ACT unfortunately

@CollegePanda96 It might be good to send them still because even if they don’t superscore, there’s no reason they won’t look at the 31 and see that you did score higher in some areas. If they don’t take that into account, no big deal, you have the 32.

I still have the SAT. crosses fingers
