Vanderbilt ED1 Discussion Thread Class of 2021

@fockey999 I don’t think so only 8 people from my school applied ED, but it would be really funny if we were

My interviewer commented on how I knew a lot about the school haha but yes I agree w/ that when it comes to ED vs regular

Also guys is there a separate discussion thread for when decisions come out?

Do you think Vandy truly doesn’t care about demonstrated interest? I doubt my time with the school matters much :frowning:

is anybody else’s portal down?

@sumuzu They say they don’t care but it can only help you. I don’t think they track it but if you mentioned it in an essay or interview it can’t hurt.

My interview went really really well but I have a feeling it won’t matter since they said that it’s optional

My portal is up

@fockey999 “get off college confidential”- your fave savage

@Ian0517 HELP ME

i think my portal is down but tbh i dont remember my password. but when I try to find my password it doesnt process the request so it might be down

mines not down anymore and it might of not even been down it might of just been my wifi

Mines not down

I’m just praying for Tuesday I’ve lost hope for the weekend

I’m from SoCal, and no one is applying ED to vandy but me. Last year, one person applied ED and he got in. I know they look at you based on your school, so we’ll see!

how much more do you guys think being validictorian or salutatorian would help as opposed to being like top 5 or 10%

a shat ton

It would definitely help

I’m in the top 2% not 1% (7/530) do you think that’s gonna hurt me or is that still good I also got a high ACT so I’m hoping that helps

Being valedictorian or salutatorian (or ranked 1st or 2nd, since that’s technically not determined right now) definitely helps. Being a little lower probably won’t hurt you, but I’d say the difference between being in the top ten people and the top ten percent is probably significant

Top 10% seems pretty broad at least for my school that’s 52 kids
