Vanderbilt ED1 Discussion Thread Class of 2021

@maccollege98 I feel the same way!

Except im sure once decisions actually come in itll take me at least 10 minutes to make myself log into the portal

hahahah so true @em2106

where are y’all from?

@em2106 relatable. I couldn’t even check my act scores, I made my friend do it for me

@kanyesprodigy Dallas! wbu?

@historyaddict8888 I feel your pain. my act score is a 29 (not nearly high enough to be an average for the act) but I did meet someone that had a 28 and got in regular decision at vanderbilt when I visited. There is hope!!

@sdgirl9917 thanks for your reassurances. but my high school is ultracompetitive. according to last year high school profile, for w gpa, validectorian got 4.92, top 20% was 4.28-4.92, my weighted is only 4.21, mean weighted is 3.66. plus about 25% of the class has national merit status, and I don’t have it. so I’m only in the 30%-40% maximum…

this means AUTOMATIC REJECTION!! Application just thrown in the trash right away!!

will they look at subscores? I was one point away from a 36 on my ACT lol ;/

@kanyesprodigy I’m from Boulder. I already got accepted into The University of Colorado Boulder… but Vandy is where I belong.

hey @crunchynut I’m from Colorado too!

I’m from South Carolina!

@historyaddict8888 you never know!! Vandy never automatically rejects applications and there are always so many surprises every year. Plus your stats aren’t bad at all!! I would consider you a very competitive applicant!

New Jersey! I live on the coast

My mom went to Vandy for undergrad and med school so I’m hoping that will help me out a little

@alexm2017 They look at subscores!

Guys I think I’ve said this before but I’m wishing you all the best of luck with decisions!! Everyone here is a very competitive and deserving candidate :slight_smile:

It will! @ellen3557
