Vanderbilt ED2 Class of 2019 Discussion Thread

@JPruneski8 College of Engineering for BME as well!

Will Vanderbilt see all semester 1 grades or only quarter 1 grades for ED2 decisions?

I’ve applied ED2 as well!! I’m so nervous… I haven’t been able to think of anything else! Still over a month until we get our decisions!

@JPruneski8‌ Not a BME major, but I am applying to the College of Engineering!!

Looks like a lot of us are applying to the college of engineering.

Yeah, does anyone know what the stats looked like for people who got in engineering ED1??

And same for me @CollegeSunday‌ its the only thing on my mind 8-|

Can’t think of anything besides finding out whether I’m in or not. Obsessively checking this subforum and reading through all the ED1 people’s stats that got accepted. It seems there were actually some 32 ACT scores that got in as well as higher scores where the candidates still had really impressive EC’s/grades/etc. and got rejected. So nervous.

@pmast25‌ I am doing the same! I also check MyAppVU obsessively. I am so nervous, seeing how accomplished all of the accepted ED1 students are is so nervewracking!

Any other girls applying to the College of Engineering?

My freshman daughter’s roommate got in ED1 with a 32 ACT for the College of Engineering.

@CollegeSunday‌ I’m a girl applying to engineering but I’m RD.

Hey guys, I’m an international student from Shanghai who’s ED II’ing Vandy. I just had my CORPS interview yesterday C: Did any of you get a chance to meet with an alumni in your area as well?

Nope, no alumni interviewer in my country. How’d the interview go?

I just had my interview with an alumni on Thursday! It went really well. She was a great person and we talked for two hours. I don’t think that it will have much of an impact on the admissions process. Still, it was great to talk to her about the school. She answered the questions I had!

@musicgeek97‌ Awesome! I’ve applied ED2 for Civil Engineering!

@sunkist7777‌ I’m glad your interview went so well!!

After much thought, I’ve decided to change my ED application to RD. Good luck to everyone!

@dancingwriter‌ Just curious, why did you decide to do it?

I applied from Ohio

@cauldroncastle Although I still love Vanderbilt to bits, I just feel that as an international student seeking aid Vanderbilt isn’t the wisest choice for a school to ED to. They don’t give much money out to fund internationals at all. And I’ve heard that they are especially stingy with international ED applicants. I have instead decided to apply ED2 to Hamilton College, which gives much more aid to internationals. Plus, I love Hamilton just as much as I love Vanderbilt, so I do believe that I made the right decision.
