@harveyspectator wow, I wonder how many applicants there are for ed2 compared to ed1. Hopefully it’s much smaller?
@Yman66 I’m not really that deep into music but I’m sure living in Nashville will change that!
I’ll be the low ACT/low GPA standard, haha.
ACT Composite 27, Writing 28, SuperScore 28
GPA 4.0
Class Rank 1 out of 200
Captain Varsity Soccer
In Numerous Clubs, Minor Leader Positions
Numerous Volunteer Work
Belong To Various Organizations
Organized A Food Pantry For Hungry
Numerous AP Classes, All High Scores
Very Strong Personal Essay
And that’s about it haha
@Yman66
no i didnt participate in any of the competitions. The follow request just came randomly one day.
@Yman66 80% in 11th??!
That, in the Indian board is crazy high. I am talking close to 60%ish lmao
@hopingandwaiting 4.0 GPA … “Low”
Please.
So who all here applied from India?
@Yman66 @Loyal0learner and me
Anyone else? Also, do any of you guys know Indians accepted in ED1?
@harveyspectator There was one girl named Pragya accepted in ED1 with a full ride, I don’t know her stats though.
@harveyspectator I got 80% in mid-terms of 12, got 85% in 11th though. How much did you get in predictions? I got all above 90%, thanks to my teachers.
… @Yman66 dude.
I’m not going into how bad my scores are compared to yours. My 12th mid-terms were 70% and 11th was lower.
Predicted were pretty decent thanks to my school realising that grade deflation is a real thing.
I still ranked in the top 10% so that’s the only saving grace.
I’m surprised nobody from India applying to Vandy (from CC atleast) has a >32 ACT (or its equivalent). It will be interesting to see how Vandy weighs us in comparison to other Indians and how many of us get in.
Yeah, quite interesting for sure.
@Yman66 what predictions? Where were you supposed to enter predictions? Am I missing something? Did you apply using CommonApp?
@Loyal0learner There is a predicted scores trancript that is sent by the high school counselors, I don’t think it is compulsory though. Yes, I applied by the Common App
@Yman66 ohhhhhhhh okay. I don’t know what my counselor put under it… But seems like it worked. Haven’t heard from any colleges I applied to regarding the school transcripts.
@Loyal0learner some students send a predicted scoresheet too. It generally doesn’t count at all and is extremely unimportant. If you’ve done well in 11th and 12th (which the both of you have), you’re good to go.
South Carolina checking in here! :-h

Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted to College of Charleston Honors College, rejected from Duke as of now which is kind of crazy because their Duke’s ED acceptance rate (22.5%) is higher than CofC Honors College’s acceptance rate (13%). Still waiting on Georgetown, UVA, UChicago, Reed, Tulane, and maybe (UMich).
I hope they accept me. I may not be smartest, but I’m a real nice guy.
@harveyspectator thank you! I was starting to get a little worried there…
thats insane that the group has 550 people. did everyone join? cause im in a tulane fb group rn and i didnt even know about the group until way after i was accepted.
@stressedsenior99 exactly my worry. I only joined the groups for colleges I was accepted to a week back.
The fb group already has 550 students, and I can guarantee there must be a few who haven’t joined yet. Let’s hope that number is minuscule…
~200 seats to fight for. Argh, chances don’t look good.
I’m guessing that a max of 1250 people apply ed 2 so that would make our acceptance rate close to 16-20%.
Is there any chance they will release tomorrow?
