Vanderbilt / Emory Chances for CO 2009...

What are my transfer chances to a top southern school like Emory or Vanderbilt? I will be attending the Honors Program at the University of Georgia this fall strictly for financial reasons, but I would like to ultimately graduate from somewhere a little more competitive.

Second question: what emphasis do these colleges place on college ECs vs. high school ECs
Third question: does transferring Spring semester improve one's chances for admission vs. transferring for fall semester?

Stats:
SAT: 710 M, 700 V (should I retake???)
SAT IIs: 800 US, 800 W, 660 M1, projected chemistry: 660 - 730
GPA: (not applicable, homeschooled, non-accredited, UW, 3.89)
ECs: strong emphasis in debate and public speaking, national competitor, several clubs, organizations, and leadership opportunities throughout high school in many other areas as well
Legacy: Emory University (both parents, undergraduate)
Residence: Georgia

Fourth (and final question): Will being non-accredited and homeschooled negatively effect my chances even if I post a 3.9 - 4.0(ish) college GPA?

Thanks! Any help is greatly appreciated!

You will be admitted in Emory; all you must do is maintain your GPA.

What about Vanderbilt? Higher SAT score?

if you have a 3.9-4.0 GPA, I am confident you will be accepted to Vanderbilt. My friend got in with an 1100 SAT, 3.9 hs GPA and 3.7 college GPA. Write a good essay and you've got a great shot
