Vanderbilt Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

@College?Nah… That’s interesting! Where did you hear about Cornell receiving less applications this year and Vandy receiving more- do you have any link to direct us to?

Cornell’s acceptance rate went up (this is just regular decision btw)

second paragraph says increased acceptance rate decreased applications
as for vanderbilt

ill be joining you @Morgan2018 everyday at 5:15, ill drop a post when I get a decision

Oh ok, I thought you mean Transfers. Thanks!

Also Vanderbilt is rolling am I right? So a lot of us won’t see decisions for a while. I applied to Peabody/Arts and Sciences btw, math/physics/education triple major. High school GPA: 3.55 College: 3.92 SAT: 1440 (660 English 780 Math) Some interesting clubs and community engagement I wrote about in essays, maybe it’s not as interesting as I think it is but we’ll see what happens. Good luck to everyone btw!

From past threads, does anyone know what the ratio of acceptances to rejections are for the first wave? If we hear back this week, do you guys think it will be good news?

At Vandy First waves have been Lucky!

Sounds good! I know last year decisions came out on the 26th which was a Thursday; this year the 26th is a Friday…any opinions on whether we should be looking at Thursday or Friday?

Tbh I think we should be looking everyday because every day is equally likely ?

Yeah, I think there’s a good chance for any day this week. I’m not sure if it has ever been on a Friday, but I almost wouldn’t expect it to be right before a weekend like that. I really don’t know though.

Is there a decent chance some decisions will be released today?

I think Every day, including today, is equally likely.?

I have a friend who got accepted as a transfer last year in the first wave and he said he received no email but checked and had his decision. He received the email notification like 30 minutes after.

Also, I feel that every day except weekends are equally likely. We can all breathe on weekends for once.

Argh I wanna focus on my final and stop checking websites

Lol same ???

Regardless of the decision, I hope I can hear back soon

I know, I have so much work to do but all I do is sit around and refresh the portal and CC hoping there’s some news ?

So Vandy’s time is 5:15 huh? This is what you do. Take a nap an hour before and sleep in. You can pass the time super quick.

Will the decisions be displayed on the Applicant Status portal where the materials checklist is located?

I assume so; every other college I’ve applied to with a status portal has posted decisions there
