Okay! So I’ve made a waitlist thread! It’s right here:
http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/vanderbilt-university/2140494-vanderbilt-university-transfer-waitlist-thread-2019-p1.html?new=1
Good luck to applicants still waiting!
Please join the new thread if you got waitlisted.
From the looks of last years waitlist thread no one really got off, but don’t give up hope, that’s no indicator of this year. It could be until July that we have to wait too, but Vandy’s my top choice and I’m willing to wait!
@TheWapTrap
I think so but it doesn’t necessarily predict your success in college. I have a 1420 SAT which is a 29-30 ACT but I have a 3.95 GPA. But yeah I am waitlisted too so the standardized test score is definitely a huge factor here even though I am applying as junior transfer.
Don’t see any updates on my portal. Would it make a difference if I’m on Mountain Time?
@zwetsch Mine starts with a W. When is the second wave coming out?
@goodreads According to the 2018 thread, it was very late in May and in 2017 it came out one week after the first wave.
I’ll probably turn down their offer - so goodluck waitlisters!
Is it bad that I don’t have a decision yet?
Accepted!
@sharang29 my daughter did get in as the major she applied for which is medicine and health science
So does each school evaluate applications separately?
@ryd123 Thanks! Good luck on your path whatever it may be!
@zwetsch mostly acceptances or rejections?
Anyone know the percentage of ppl who make it off the waitlist?
for accepted students, when do we have to give our decision by?
D was accepted
@kenny1234 Deposit of $400 due by 5/9, @azac123 You can check past years threads, but, unfortunately they take few- if any. Keep the FAITH though and be in touch with your counselor- tell him/her about any recent accomplishments/jobs/awards and, of course recent grades, but focus on school(s) you have a home. But, at the same time, keep optimistic about your WL chances!
Accepted to CAS

Does anyone know if it less probable to make it on the 2nd wave?
What’s the point of a second wave if they’re accepting, WL’ing and denying first wave applicants?? Why keep second wave students in limbo with no decision?
