Based on last year’s thread we should be hearing back around the 24-26th?
I saw the transfer Facebook group has been created, and I was hoping this was a sign that they’re coming soon, but it was created about 3 weeks ago, so I guess it’s still a guessing game. Hopefully this week or next week will be the first wave. I’m guessing it’ll be next week at the earliest
@whereto2022 It seems that’s the likely case, however, in previous years, some people heard back around the 18th/19th, so it could be either this week or next week
Can I ask where else you guys are looking to transfer? Just out of curiosity! I am also looking at Brown and Tufts
Cornell, Dartmouth
If you get into Dartmouth that would be a helluva win- their acceptance rate is .5%. Yikes!
How crazy is this for disparity in chances for admission:
Dartmouth ED: 1 in 4
Dartmouth Transfer: 1 in 200
I am new to this thread and I am wondering if anyone knows anything about getting an early read? I have been accepted at another University and have to respond within a week. I would really like to know where my decision stands with Vanderbilt as soon as possible.
@ryd123 Honestly, I only applied to Vanderbilt and my state schools. I didn’t even think about applying anywhere else, ha. That being said, I really like some of my state schools.
I only applied to Vanderbilt. Really hoping this works out. Didn’t see myself going anywhere else so I didn’t bother. I’m also from Nashville and live close to Vandy so it’s really familiar to me.
@etransfer2019 I recommended emailing your AO about that possibility
@Quakerdude What do you mean didn’t see yourself going anywhere else? Aren’t you in college now? Are you at a CC or a 4 year?
I’m at a 4-year public but I didn’t plan on going here. I had a rather unlucky high school admissions process and ended up at a college that doesn’t have the major I’m trying to pursue.
Gotcha. Honestly, I 100% can sympathize with your admissions plight! I think most of us here had one of those moments- like wth?
Do any of you guys know if Vanderbilt accepts transfer credit for online/hybrid courses?
Im not 100% sure but 99% sure they will not.
@sharang29 If accepted, Vandy does a transfer credit evaluation by each course. But you can look up what credits already transfer on their transfer credit search site.
I called and they said that the first batch will come by the end of this month.
Hi everyone, I just got an e-mail from my transfer admission officer saying that the Transfer College Report was not entirely filled out. However, when I check my “Application Status Portal” it states that everything is completed?
It might mean that they have the form but that it was not completely filled out by the official.
@IndirectProofs It’s weird because they sent the same exact form to all the other colleges I applied for and this was the only college saying it’s not completely filled out.
