Vanderbilt Fall 2020 Transfer Thread

What were your stats? I applied for Econ as well but have not heard back unfortunately.

Do you think that they will follow through with the off-campus housing mandate? I was surprised by the note in the acceptance especially considering that Vandy requires living on campus for three years.

@eeaadd22 I’m also not able to PM :/… could you email me at bstark@oberlin.edu? Thanks!

@eeaadd22 could you PM me the groupme link?

hey, can I get an invite to the groupme?

Would you mind PMing me so I can send my #?? (I would love to join but cant figure out how to message you my number lol)

@waterrr I was accepted into the school of engineering!

@eeaadd22 Hey I can’t PM you as well. Can you email me the groupme link at clei2@binghamton.edu? Thanks!

hey everyone! I’ve been trying and trying to post the link and PM people (both of which they won’t let me do…)
so I have an annoying solution but it’s the one that works

Here is the link, with spaces in between everything that makes it a website lol. copy and paste it somewhere then remove all of the indents and you should have the working link! sorry that this is so annoying

You’re invited to my new group ‘Vandy Transfer 2020’ on GroupMe. Click here to join:

oh my gosh!!! and the  is supposed to be : / so the full indent there should be : / / but with no spaces. i’m so sorry everyone

So has anyone here been rejected in the first wave? Or was it just acceptances? Congrats to all who heard back

Could somebody who was accepted, kindly copy and paste from your acceptance letter the part about transfers having to live off campus? Someone I know who transferred last year will faint seeing that. Living on campus he was told is ‘mandatory’ for a Vandy education. Thanks, in advance, kind CC posters!

Housing constraints will require that new transfer students live off campus for the 2020/2021 academic year. You will be a welcome part of the community, and will be able to take full advantage of all instructional opportunities and campus resources. As a new transfer student, you will engage in special programming conducted by the Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs to be sure that you are fully integrated into the community and that you have ample opportunities to meet and get to know your classmates.

@ui1234 thanks a million! So what areypur plans? Are you a Dore all the way still or do you have other options?

@eeaadd22 Would you mind adding me to the groupme? I’m not exactly sure how to PM someone.

Hey I am accepted to neuroscience as a junior, I think we would make great friends. Feel free to contact me!

Is there a FB page for transfer admits, and if not, should we maybe make one?

@SophTaf yeah there’s an official one called “Vanderbilt Transfer Students Fall 2020”. Does anyone know when/ how we get our transfer credit evaluations?

Were admitted students given financial aid with their decision?

Yes!
