Vanderbilt Fall 2020 Transfer Thread

Questions for those who have heard back:

Did any of you ask for a lot of financial aid? I am just wondering if they are willing to give less money because of Covid.

Did any of you apply of March 15 or after the deadline?

@hello0192837 hi I heard back yesterday! I needed 100% aid and I applied by March 15 - my aid package was perfect!

Iā€™m still waiting tooā€¦

Can everyone who applied to CAS and is still waiting on a decision like this reply just so I can see if there are a lot of people left. Im still waiting as well

@hello0192837 Hey! I heard back in the first wave and I got about 6k more than my fafsa asked for, and I turned in my application 10 days after the priority deadline of 3/25. incoming sophomore School of Engineering applicant.

Hello guys, I was bored waiting for my other admission decisions, so i just submitted my Vanderbilt application today haha. Do yā€™all think that i have any chance to get in?

No decision yet. Maybe the critical comment about my admissions counselor screwed me over : )

@guarti10 Yikesā€¦ I have not heard back and I applied before the priority deadline. I wonder if this means it is a rejection or they are just waiting to hear back from other applicants.

Still waiting.

Has no one been rejected outright?!

Any guess about number of ā€œwavesā€?!

Iā€™m still waiting, Engineering

Still waiting!

still waiting but got into schools higher on my listā€¦ should I just withdraw my application

@JeanSs If the other schools are affordable, I donā€™t see why not. If you wouldnā€™t attend Vandy over the schools youā€™ve already been accepted to, Iā€™d withdraw your app.

rejected

yeah I was gonna withdraw but a minute ago I got an email and apparently I got waitlisted lol Iā€™ll just decline the wl then

Waitlisted. Funny thing is I sent a withdraw email last week. Not surprised to have heard nothing about it. Took over a month to get a reply from the one other email I sent her. ??ā€ā™€ļø Lost interest in Vandy weeks ago with these transfer shenanigans.

Good luck to those accepted! Hopefully someone can take advantage of my declined waitlist spot. Take care all.

Waitlist COE. Does anyone have any info on the WL process? I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

I was waitlisted too.

For future applicants coming from community colleges (and that have never attended a 4-year institution), I donā€™t encourage you to apply to Vandy. I havenā€™t seen anyone admitted from a CC in the past few years, including the strongest candidates who got into places like Princeton, Yale, and Stanford. Itā€™s pretty clear Vandy only wants people from 4-year schools. Pretty much every T20 and top LAC values CC students, so itā€™s just a shame.

Just got waitlisted. CAS physics major, entering sophomore.

Waitlisted here too. Anyone thinks we have a shot to get off it?
