@bamba2208 - i also got that email but when we got that last year, most of us did not get off. i just wanted to let everyone know that.

Iām declining my spot. Vandyās handling of application decisions and communication about the process was nothing short of abyssmal. It seems to me that people accepted off WL were all (or primarily) those who didnāt seek FA. Shame on Vanderbilt admissions for admitting only full pay students and not accepting those who need FA. I want no part of this nonsense and frankly, I hope the alumni donors read these pages and demand change.

@Hugebuns - i committed to UVA but their financial aid this year was also bleekā¦ i have another friend who also got waitlisted this year and last year and she just committed to UCLA -_-
disappointing tbh since we both are community college students who applied for financial aid.
got a full ride to UNC as well got decent financial aid from other higher ranking schools as well. But yeah, if you applied for FA, getting off waitlist for Vandy is little to none.
I have committed to Barnard but will definitely join Vandy if accepted. I applied to no financial aid, and I am still anxiously waiting for the wl result. Finger crossed. Good luck to everyone! Hope we can all get off!

I did apply for aid, but I can only see my package once I accept the offer, so Iām not sure how much they gave me/if they gave me anything

The process is a little confusing. I applied for aid, but had to say yes to receiving an offer of admissions before I saw it. I donāt think thatās binding so itās not illegal.
@aaspark - that makes sense - cuz i would think that is unethical if they made u sign before you saw
