Vanderbilt Fall 2020 Transfer Thread

@MattTransfer2020 Vanderbilt is one of two universities out of six not listed on the IDOC request.

Has anybody received a decision?

@user09375020385

I think Vanderbilt first wave will be this Thursday

Found out today that I incorrectly submitted my high school transcript through the CommonApp. Lmaaooo it’s over for me guys. WISHING YOU ALL GOOD GOOD LUCK!!!

@nerdalert01 do you know what time?

last year people received emails a couple of minutes before 6 pm EST

In previous years it was 5:15 pm est but last year they came at 6 pm est

So when do you guys think they’re coming out?

Thursday (tomorrow) at either 5:15 PM EST or 6 PM EST, assuming things go as they did last year.

Hi everyone, still waiting on a decision here but I thought id post my stats:

Student Conduct Board member for 2 years
Letter of rec from a Dean
Working experience/shadowed several lawyers
Scholarship for leaders
80 volunteer hours

Good luck to everyone! I know we are all nervous

Quoting a post on the 2019 thread:

(#205)
“2015 - 4/6 Monday
2016 - 4/18 Monday
2017 - 4/18 Tuesday
2018 - 4/26 Thursday”

My input: 2019 - 4/25 Thursday

Needless to say, their decision dates are pretty unpredictable regardless of an ongoing global pandemic.

I think I’m just gonna wait for an email and check back here once a day instead of trying to guess when it’s gonna happen lol.

Eh, I feel like the longer these last few decisions drag out the less I seem to care about the outcome. Maybe its a normal feeling idk. This is my first rodeo, I find this whole process unnecessarily tedious and somewhat brutal.

But, I sincerely wish everyone else here the best of luck and hope all of you get the decision you want. :relaxed:

@SatanFlower69 which have you heard back from?

@nickvader7 University of Richmond, UNC CH, UCB, UCD (plan to attend), UCSC and SFSU. I think its a little different for CA residents transferring. Applying to UCs is more of a streamlined process. One application takes care of every school under that system and transfer decisions are generally early-mid April. So having to do 9 hundred essays for each additional school, get all these required docs together and then wait til late April or May has taken some of the thrill out of anticipation. At this point I just want to have a firm plan in place asap.

Hey guys! Is there a portal we are supposed to have access to? I have emailed my rep multiple times asking about this, since i never received an email and he has not gotten back. He confirmed that my application was received and complete, but I am confused as to how I will get a decision if i don’t have portal access :frowning:

@juliahorses17 you should have received an email with portal login information a couple days after submitting your application. It shows your status and item checklist. Strange that the rep confirmed your application is complete but you don’t have access to it.

@SatanFlower69 I agree. It seems like it’s been dragging, but part of that is also being home during Covid-19. You do start to lose enthusiasm for the whole process. By the time we hear something, it might be a letdown – even if accepted.
