vanderbilt fin or merit based aid?

<p>Asian kids attend a northeast prep school on full fin aid and has received a $175,000 scholarship for high school for four years.</p>

<p>Seriously have no clue about Vanderbilt but throuch CC came to know about their nice merit based awards. </p>

<p>Since financial aid is very important consideration to us so we want to know about the endowment for the school. Also how is the History/economics/political scince/International relation departments. Thanks for your help.</p>

<p>Vandy has both merit and need based financial aid. There are federal, pell and need based grants as well as departmental scholarships and school scholarships. For full scholarships I believe an application has to be sent before December 1 (don't quote me on that date) but most of my aid came from need based as i broke down my finacial aid package.</p>
